Mrs. Sandy Leech joined Hollister in 2006 as a student teacher and paraprofessional, becoming a full-time teacher the following year. After five years in the classroom, Mrs. Leech entered the world of administration as the Hollister Elementary School Principal. In 2015 she became the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning. She earned her Specialist Degree in Leadership and Administration from Lindenwood University.

Mrs. Leech is passionate about encouraging, supporting, and adding value to teachers and leaders, so that they can become the best versions of themselves. While serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, Mrs. Leech has led the Hollister School District in revamping and improving the teacher professional development and evaluation systems as well as aligning district curriculum and ensuring that teachers have the resources they need for effective teaching and learning.

Over the years, Mrs. Leech has received several awards, including MAESP Exemplary New Principal, Open Education Ambassador School District Leader, MASA Innovation Award, and Hollister Be the One Award.
