Wrestling
The mission of the Hollister Wrestling program is to provide a rigorous athletic program that complements and supports a challenging academic program by teaching students to persevere, to work well with others, and to test themselves. The primary goal of athletics at Hollister is the betterment of the student-athlete as an individual. Participation in Hollister athletics is a privilege. Actions of student-athletes are expected to bring honor to the team and the school.
Wrestlers should attend all practices and competitions. Missing Practice will result in makeup work consisting of hard vigorous activity to take place the following morning. Excused or unexcused. Unexcused and excused practices may result in missing the next competition. The coach has the right to move the lineup around as he chooses. The coach will give the team the best opportunity to be successful. Wrestlers should be coachable. They should listen to the coach, work hard, and give 100% all the time. This will not guarantee athletes win but it will give them the best opportunity to win.
Wrestling is a winter sport.
