HHS Boys Basketball
Hollister High School Boys Basketball is open to students in 9th through 12th grades. Tryouts take place during the first week of practice, usually the first week of November.
Hollister Tiger basketball athletes are first and foremost academic students and are expected to take care of their classroom duties. Athletes are required to be on time and at every practice during the basketball season. Players are also encouraged to attend summer practices and games.
The goal of the HHS Boys Basketball Team is for each young man to grow as a person and to support and go to battle for each other. Players are expected to represent Hollister positively both on and off the court.
HMS Boys Basketball
Hollister Middle School Boys Basketball is open to 7th and 8th grade boys. Practice begins in November, upon the completion of HMS Football, with open gym style practices a couple of days per week to work on basketball skills until regular-season practice begins. The regular-season practice is after school on Monday through Thursday until 5:30 PM and on Friday before school (time TBA).
Players are expected to be at all practices unless out of school due to sickness or if there is a family emergency. Players are expected to turn in all school work on time and to have good behavior in class. Poor behavior and failure to turn in work will have consequences and could affect playing time.
In the 2019-2020 basketball season, the HMS 8th grade boys finished the season with a 10-3 record.
