The Instructional Coach's Role:

Instructional Coaches (IC) serve as on-site professional developers. Using research proven strategies, ICs assist teachers in 4 major areas: classroom management, content planning, instructional strategies, and assessment for learning.

ICs are designed to serve teachers. Coaches can assist teachers with successful planning for the school year, ongoing improvement in classroom management, and effective self-reflection.
