ACT Information
The following information
is useful for parents and students to have knowledge about college entrance
testing. All continuing education programs in Missouri accept the ACT as an
entrance exam. However, some training schools and two year programs do not require
the ACT. Please check with the school you plan to attend before taking the ACT
exam.

Students may register
to take the ACT online at www.actstudent.org
or they may pick up an application in the high school counselor’s office.
Students who receive free or reduced lunches are eligible for two free exams
during their high school career. These forms can also be picked up in the high
school counselor’s office.
ACT pointers:

You will be mailed or emailed a ticket for admission. Please take this ticket
to the test sight. |
| 2.
It is not necessary to take the writing portion of the ACT if attending
a Missouri school; however, if you are attending if you are attending an
out of state institution, please check their requirements. |
| 3.
The closest location to take the ACT is at College of the Ozarks. You must
look this up by using the location Point Lookout, MO. |
| 4.
There are several ways to practice for the ACT. |

a.
Check with the counselor’s office for Saturday morning preparation
classes. These will also be posted on this page. |
| |
b. A free
practice test can be picked up from the high school counselor’s office. |
| |
c. Use the
online site www.actstudent.org for
other ways to prepare. |
